Langeby

What it's actually like

Langeby is a west-facing sand beach on Vesterøya, one of the two long peninsulas south of Sandefjord, about 7 km from the town centre, with a campsite right behind it. The beach is about 150 metres of sand, with sloping rocks, a floating platform and diving boards.

Vestfold Kiteklubb lists it as one of its spots and rates it a fine one in a south-westerly, and Sandefjord’s windsurf club gives the campsite as its visiting address.

January is the pick, when about 46 per cent of days clear 12 knots for three daylight hours or more; no month reaches half.
