Flag Beach is in Corralejo, in the north-east of Fuerteventura, where the town meets the Corralejo dunes. The beach faces north-east, and Wind-Hounds describes a bay about 400 m long protected by reef on either side. The seabed is sand, and Canary Islands Tourism calls it an ideal spot for beginners.
The dunes behind are a protected natural park.
The record is a 9 km model with no station check yet, and NP7’s guide warns that coarse models can under-read the Canaries, so treat it as a guide.
Not yet checked against a weather station or an independent model, so treat these figures as a guide.
