Dakhla

What it's actually like

Kiters, the lagoon is yours: about 45 km of flat water with the trade side-shore from the left. Mornings already blow on about three days in four, by late afternoon about nine in ten. Check the tide, as it sets the depth and the chop.

When it's good

Trade winds Jan to Nov. Trades: steady north-easterly wind on 60% or more of days, from our wind record.
