Stones and the tideThe tides are large. At low tide stones come out; as the tide drops from high water, watch for stones on the bottom. A small patch of rocks lies between the main spot and Rodanho, most of it visible at low tide.
Waves at RodanhoThe southern end towards Rodanho has consistent waves for advanced riders. Beginners stay in the flat water at the northern end.
Bathing areas and local rulesThere are lifeguards in summer. Keep out of the bathing areas. The port authority’s rules for the beach could not be read first hand: ask a centre what applies before riding.
Stones and rocks

At low tide stones come out on a huge beach; as the tide drops from high water, watch for stones on the bottom. A small patch of rocks lies between the main spot and Rodanho, most of it visible at low tide.
